The Inaugural Event in the Engaging Orthodoxy Speaker's Series Orthodoxy is on the cusp of a major theological renaissance in the 21st century. North Park University is exploring Orthodox theology as a vital religious force in American life and thought. In his inaugural lecture, Metropolitan Kallistos Ware presented an Eastern Orthodox understanding of the Gospel, and offered practical guidance on how local churches may keep it clear and central for each generation. Respondents to his lecture included: Father John Behr, dean, St. Vladimir's Orthodox Seminary Dr. Hauna Ondrey, teaching fellow in church history, North Park Seminary Dr. Marcus Plested, associate professor of theology, Marquette University Dr. Bradley Nassif, professor of biblical and theological studies at North Park University moderated the conference sessions.
