More than 60 faculty and graduate students crowded into a packed conference room at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford, to launch GFI’s first book: Justice and Rights: Nicholas Wolterstorff in Dialogue with the University, published and co-hosted by Langham Publishing.
Following welcomes by Revd. Dr. Jonathan Brant, Dean of Research at Wycliffe, and Prof. Terry Halliday, Co-Editor with Prof. KK Yeo of Justice and Rights, Oxford Pastorate Chaplain Dr. Bethan Willis interviewed Professor Wolterstorff live from the US on the gripping story of his personal and philosophical journey to grapple with justice and rights. Dr. Willis led a panel discussion with Prof. John Coffey (Leicester), Prof. Lorna Smith (Oxford), Donald Hay (Oxford), founding Co-Convenor of GFI, and Prof. Dinesha Samararatne (Sri Lanka) on the theological lens that Justice and Rights offers for their scholarship and scholars’ distinctive calling to “love the Lord our God with all our minds” in universities across the world.
