You Tube Theology

Friends, we want to see a reformation of the church today, and that can sound like a grand project. But actually, we could be distracted from the essence of that project thinking, "Oh, we've got a lot to do then," and be highly activist, and we do have a lot to do. With people on a mission, we want to see the glory of God fill the earth, and yet, busyness can become the distraction from the essential. In all your busyness, even busyness in Christian ministry and service of your local church can distract you from Christ and blind you to the fact that you no longer have love. So Oswald Chambers could warn, "Beware of anything that competes with loyalty to Jesus Christ," and he went on, "The greatest competitor of devotion to Jesus is service for him."
