Rev. Dr. Munther Isaac received a lot of global attention with his Christmas 2023 Nativity scene showing Christ surrounded by the rubble of Gaza. He has now expanded on that Christmas message with a forthcoming new book Christ in the Rubble: Faith, the Bible, and the Genocide in Gaza. In this book, Rev. Dr. Isaac challenges mainstream Christians' uncritical embrace of the modern State of Israel and challenges us to realign our beliefs and actions with Christ - who can be found not among perpetrators of violence, but with victims buried under the rubble of war.
