Was Lewis really a theologian? Oxford Professor and apologist Alister McGrath argues that Lewis became a theologian in a profound sense, not through academic titles, but through his ability to help millions think more deeply about God, faith, morality, and the meaning of life.

We also explore Lewis’s warning about technological power. Drawing on works such as 'The Abolition of Man' and 'That Hideous Strength', McGrath explains why Lewis feared a future where human judgment might be outsourced to machines and where technological progress could outpace moral wisdom.

We also touch on McGrath’s forthcoming Oxford University Press monograph on Lewis, science, and the universe, showing how Lewis helped readers understand both the power and the limits of science, and why questions of meaning, value, and purpose cannot be solved by science alone.
