What does it mean to be created in God's image? In this episode, we look at Genesis 1:26-28 in its Ancient Near eastern context. Compared to its religious counterparts, the Bible elevates humanity for above other views of humankind. The biblical understanding of "image of God" rules out racism, misogyny, ethnocentrism, and even a self-understanding of shame and worthlessness.
