"...And where is Russell Moore's moral clarity? Where is his outrage? Where is his statement that there is no justifying the killing of unarmed non-combatants? Where is his declaration that it is a moral failure?

Friends, the true moral failure is the selective application of morality. The true moral failure is to condemn atrocities only when the victims belong to your moral universe, while then to remain silent when the victims are Palestinians.

And I want now to say something difficult... because this is where racism enters. The racism is not in his moral concern for Israelis. No, for Israelis are human beings. Their lives matter. Their suffering matters. The racism is not that he cares about them. The racism is that he does not care about Palestinians in the same way. The racism is in selective moral imagination in the way Palestinians are treated as background noise, as collateral damage, as a faceless mass, as a 'security problem,' and not as human beings created in the image of God."
