🗣 On Tuesday 11 July 2023, our Director Professor David Albert Jones gave testimony to the Oireachtas Joint Committee on ‘Assisted Dying’ – euthanasia and / or assisted suicide (EAS). In his opening presentation here, he argued for clarity in terminology, the merits of the current framework in Irish Law, and the ill-effects of introducing physician involvement in assisting or causing the death of their patients.
