Synopsis: In our culture and music we focus on the joyful side of the spiritual journey while neglecting the struggle, pain and suffering of our journey. When faced with exile in a difficult place we can either get-away, give-in, or lament which is trusting that God is ultimately sovereign. As people of God we cannot give up … we are called to seek the peace and prosperity of our current context by elevating the voices of the suffering, marginalized and hurting.
