Dr. Brian Rosner will speak from 2pm to 3pm on "The Jewishness of the Apostle Paul in the Epistles", exploring Paul's Jewish heritage and his profound impact on Christianity. Dr. Darrell Bock will speak from 3:30pm to 4:30pm on "How to Have Difficult Conversations About Faith", giving us valuable insights on cultural engagement with practical strategies on navigating challenging discussions about faith with grace and wisdom. About the speakers: Dr Brian Rosner's father was an Austrian Jew who became a believer in Jesus while living with his parents as a refugee in Shanghai. Brian grew up in a believing family that put a high value on education, and there have been several generations of 'Dr Rosners'. Brian has three degrees from three different countries, culminating in a prize-winning Cambridge University PhD. Brian is a New Testament scholar of international reputation. He is a member of the Studiorum Novi Testamenti Societas (the international society of New Testament scholars), a member the Holman Christian Standard Bible Translation Oversight Committee, a Humboldt fellow in Germany, and is the author or editor of a dozen books. Brian is married to Natalie and has four children and two grandchildren. As one known and loved by God, Brian seeks to find his adequacy in God as he serves as the Principal of Ridley College. Dr Darrell Bock is a Jewish believer in Yeshua. He is a renowned Humboldt Scholar (Tbingen University, Germany) who has authored over 40 books, including acclaimed commentaries on Luke and Acts and studies on the historical Jesus, and work in cultural engagement as host of the seminary's Table Podcasts. Dr. Bock has been a New York Times best-selling author in nonfiction. Darrell is the Senior Research Professor of New Testament Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary and the Executive Director of the Hendricks Center for Cultural Engagement. He also serves on the boards of Wheaton College and Chosen People Ministries and is frequently featured in media as a New Testament expert. Darrell is Married to Sally for over 40 years, he is a proud father of three and grandfather. He is also a sports fanatic and will tune in to the current game involving his favourite teams from Houstonliveeven in the wee hours of the morning.
