This is recording 2/2 of the University of Oxford Women's Health Symposium, an afternoon of interactive presentations and networking focussed on women's and girls' health and equality that took place on 4 October 2019 at the Oxford Martin School.
The Symposium provided a forum to consider how the University can best generate much-needed improvements in women's and girls' health and equality worldwide. It aimed:
- To highlight examples of research related to women's and girls' health currently being conducted across the University
- To discuss the potential for greater transdisciplinary collaboration in the field
- To outline the vision for an Institute for Women’s Health in Oxford, focused on ending health care inequalities for women and girls in both high- and low-income contexts.
The sessions captured in this recording are as follows:
~ Examples of current research and new opportunities for collaborative research focussed on a broader range of issues affecting women’s and girls' health (e.g. ageing, environment & climate change) with speakers Associate Professor Katrina Charles, Professor Sarah Harper, Associate Professor Joshua Hordern and Professor Christiaan Monden.
~ Women's Health @ Oxford: vision and opportunities for engagement
