Sometimes Paul can be so succinct is writing Greek that his meaning can be ambiguous. Does he tell slaves that they are to love their masters, or that masters should love their slaves? This is a special problem in the early church where Christians owned slaves, they were "brothers and sisters"), and hence loved as fellow members of God's family.
