Old Testament theologian and author the Reverend Dr. Walter Brueggemann came to Memphis, Tennessee in March 2016, giving a lecture at Church of the Holy Communion Episcopal, speaking in Calvary Episcopal's Lenten series and speaking at a cross-denominational, cross-racial gathering of clergy his last morning in Memphis. This recording includes his opening and closing remarks. In the beginning of this talk, part of which was not captured by the recording, Dr. Brueggemann defines the idea of totalism, and then continues to explore that idea.
