οὐ (οὐκ, οὐχ) means “not”
“Unless your righteousness exceeds beyond that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will οὐ enter the kingdom of heaven.” (Matt 5:20)
Negative adverb, originally the gen. of ὅς, spelled οὐκ if followed by a word beginning with a vowel and a smooth breathing, οὐχ if followed by a vowel and rough breathing, Mt. 5:37; 12:43; 23:37.
