Our Director, Davis Albert Jones, spoke again to BBC Radio Essex today about the unprecedented nature of the Archie Battersbee case.
After the failed last minute appeal for delay today, the Court of Appeal refused to postpone the withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment beyond 12:00 tomorrow. The family have now asked for permission to appeal to the Supreme Court the “uncharted territory” of the appeal to the UN is the kind of issue on which it is appropriate for the Supreme Court to rule.
