Given the move by Quebec to allow euthanasia for persons with dementia, CPL is hosting a series of webinars with speakers across different fields and with a wide range of experiences to engage these themes with us. On Thursday, November 7th, 2024, CPL's Executive Director Nicole Scheidl was joined by American Bioethicist Charles Camosy who has written extensively about "throwaway culture." On this webinar, they discuss the ways in which people with dementia are tragically becoming a throwaway population in our culture, and what we can do to resist this dehumanization.
