A university is a place where people learn not only to give answers, but to also ask questions. Instead of relying on the same Christian answers, Vinoth Ramachandra encourages university students to face their deepest questions and pose counter-questions. He hopes that his book, Sarah’s Laughter, will challenge students to ask themselves the tough questions that they will inevitably face in their lives.
This is part five of an interview series with Vinoth Ramachandra, the IFES Secretary for Dialogue and Social Engagement. Tom De Craene, the General Secretary of ICHTUS Flanders, met with Vinoth over Zoom to discuss his new book, Sarah’s Laughter. In his book, Vinoth reflects upon his own journey with suffering to present an authentic and biblical response to grief. Tom and Vinoth discuss how Christians can embrace suffering as a way to more deeply discover the character of God.
