"Engaging the University"
Facilitators:

• Vinoth Ramachandra (IFES Secretary for Dialogue and Social Engagement),
• Denni B. Saragih (former staff worker of Perkantas Indonesia, now the Vice Rector of Krida Wacana University, Jakarta, Indonesia),
• A student from FES Hong Kong

What does it mean to engage the whole university for Christ? Do we have the biblical foundation to this vision? What are the challenges faced and possible blind spots discovered as we practice our faith and serve in the university?

Drawing lessons from Scripture and history, the facilitators will present how Christian students and staff workers can learn to think about ways to practice their faith in university life. They include stories from different parts of East Asia movements on how students or faculties attempted to engage their university. We hope these examples should trigger the imagination to think more concrete ideas for engagement in different contexts.
