MOUNCE’S EXPOSITORY DICTIONARY
The noun graphē is unique in the NT in that it solely refers to the Scriptures of Israel. In the sing., the noun can refer to a specific portion of the Scriptures (Mk. 12:10; Lk. 4:21; Jn. 13:18) or to the Scriptures as a whole (Jn. 20:29), but in the pl., it always refers to the latter.
