Transcript: Many conservative Christians have traditionally opposed evolution as being materialistic, naturalistic, and impossible to believe in God at the same time, but what BioLogos is doing is saying we can take the Bible very seriously and at the same time take evolution and scientific evidence very seriously and see what kind of conversation we can bring these two into. As Christians we are obligated as truth tellers and truth seekers to let the evidence say what it says, and say, "this is the world God made, and this is the world God wants us to embrace." It is the obligation of a theologian and of a pastoral leader to provide for people in a church, guidelines, thoughts, patterns of thinking that these young people can learn to use as they learn about science.
