You Tube Theology

How do Quakers confront the apparent power of evil, negotiate their own power and powerlessness, and speak about the experience of being empowered by God? This lecture explores early Quaker theologies of ‘the Seed’ and of ‘the day of small things’, and what they can teach us about Quakers’ understanding of power and weakness – in God and in humanity.

Rachel Muers joined the University of Edinburgh in 2022, as the first woman to be appointed to the historic Chair of Divinity. She writes:
