These ancient prayers and poems invite us on a behind the scenes, no-holds-bar tour of human spirituality connected to the Creator of the Universe—the ups and downs, twists and turns, breathtaking beauties and soul crushing loses that a life lived in the presence of God involves—almost nothing is left out by the Psalter. But how do we read the Psalms for all they are worth?
